Your inbox stays yours.
Messages, cached bodies, embeddings, and the semantic index live in IndexedDB in your browser. Kinetic’s server keeps only the authentication records needed for the read-only Gmail connection and proxies live Gmail calls.

Can Kinetic send, archive, or delete email?
No. The Gmail connection is read-only. Kinetic cannot compose, send, archive, or delete messages.
Where does semantic search run?
Inside your browser with HuggingFace Transformers and ONNX. The resulting embeddings stay in IndexedDB on that device.
What happens when I clear browser storage?
Your local index and cached mailbox data are removed. Kinetic must rebuild them from Gmail after you reconnect.
Does Kinetic replace Gmail?
No. It is a focused workspace for semantic recall, sender analysis, unsubscribe help, and filter recipes on top of Gmail.

Kinetic’s read-only boundary is part of the product, not a beta limitation. Destructive mailbox actions do not belong here.
